That's what he said

Mason likes titles. He called me Sir the other day. I explained that I would be a Miss, Mommies are Miss and Daddies are Sir.
The next morning Jes had already left for work when Mason got up. He promptly said,

"Excuse me Miss, where is the Sir?"

Jump for joy!

Once again Jes came up with an idea to both entertain and thrill the kids! Well, Mason at least! He put the swimming pools on the tramp and filled them. They had a blast jumping into the water! Mason would sit in the pool and Jes would jump, Mason and water would go flying! Victoria wasn't too impressed.

4th of July

This year we had a low key 4th. The only fun thing we did was go to the fireworks in Buda! Like usual Mason was scared of the loudness (notice the earplugs), but Victoria loved it!

Mason earns a bike!

Mason earned a bike by doing jobs around the house. These were anything from dusting to empty the dishwasher! He had to earn 50 stickers, it took him about 6 weeks!

Dirty Jeep

Mason was bored. I was busy. I kept telling him to come up with an idea of what he would like to do. Finally he looked at me and said, "I think I need to wash my jeep!"
"Great" I said!

Small snack

I came into the kitchen after my bathroom break and found Mason helping Victoria get a small snack. By the time I got the camera half the cheerios that had been on the high chair were on the floor so the picture doesn't quite do the mess justice, but you get the idea!

That's what he said...

Number 1:
Jes was helping me get the kids ready for church this morning and I heard this conversation. It was quite hilarious!

Dad: How do you want me to do your hair?
Mason: Can you do it like yours?
Dad: You want it like mine! I can do that! (very happy/excited Daddy)
Mason: Yes! I want it to look silly like yours!

Number 2:
Mason and I had to take a trip to the music store to get his violin restrung. When we walked in he was awe struck at all the instruments on the wall. He began naming them all, much to the man at the counters disbelief. After going through all of them he looked at me and said:

"Mom! can I have a base?"
I said "Maybe someday, lets just learn one instrument at a time."
He said "OH MOM! (big gigantic sigh)... (perks up and looks at me with a big grin) Can I have a piccolo then?!?"

Number 3:
Mason has been earning stickers for doing chores around the house to earn a bike. Jes had him clean the fan so I was helping him add another sticker to the chart. On each square we write what he did to earn that sticker. Mason wanted to write this one all by himself. I helped him write "CLEANED" and then...

Mom: Put an "F" here...
Mason did it.
Mom: Put an "A" here...
Mason: Big gigantic sigh and eyes roll... Mom! I know how to spell fan!

Family Reunion

When I was a kid I loved going to our family reunion! It was always in the mountains that my Great Grandpa Wilkinson owned. It was really fun to take my kids there so they could experience some of the activities I loved as a child!
Ellie and Victoria sharing some milk!
Mason looking for candy after the airplanes flew over and dropped it! I loved this as a kid... candy falling from the sky!
Ellie and Amber on the hunt for candy!

Victoria eating non-edibles (grass this time), like usual.
Brennan and Tori
Look at Mason's feet! Anything to make him go slower is good in his mind!
Kody and Colton. I thought they were all grown up, I was wrong!

Kody, what a cutie!

Mason and Ellie in the "train" ride. The driver was about 12!

Morgan, Brandi and Tori
Amber, Ellie, Lacey and Mason. Mason was decorating a pillow case. He copied the teenage girl next to him, including putting her name (Cory) and "I love soccer" on his! He even made sure he had the same amount of soccer balls in the same colors as Cory.

Tori loved the tire swing!

Pineview!

We finally got a nice day! It rained most of the time we were in Utah, but lucked out with our boating trip! I think it was the nicest day we had! Thanks Amber and Brady for taking us out on your boat for such a fun day!
Morgan and Brandi, just minutes before a MAJOR wipe out!
Mason and Mommy.
He was to scared and I was too pregnant to go very fast. He said he had fun but would only do it once. The whole time he was yelling TELL AMBER TO SLOW DOWN!!!
Mason and Mommy.
FYI: horizontal stripes on pregnant belly = not good idea!

Victoria found a seat on the apple juice!
She ate so much sand! Why am I not surprised???

Mason and Morgan playing in the water.

Victoria loved the sand! She was covered in it from head to toe. She just kept rolling around and getting as dirty as possible and eating as much as she could! You would think I never feed her (until you look at her thighs)!

Oh the fun at Grandma's house!

Grandma Vickie and Mason at the zoo!

Bailee, Victoria and Mason at the zoo entrance. Yes, I only got 2 pictures the whole visit!

Grandpa and two of his girls, Bailee and Tori.
Victoria's first experience with sidewalk chalk.
She thought it was tasty! I think in all she ate one whole stick. She was taking huge bites out of it... YUCK!

Ellie and Mason.
It was so fun to have cousins to play with!

This video is cute, I love how Ellie draws on her legs instead of the sidewalk!

First Fish!

Grandpa Jeff and Uncle Brennan wanted to take Mason fishing for the first time! We headed to the fish hatchery because Grandpa was afraid Mason would fall into a river if we went to a "real" fishing spot. Also, he wanted to guarantee Mason would actually catch something!!!
Not sure why Mommy ended up helping with the fishing, She was suppose to just be taking pictures!

Mason's first fish!!! He was so proud... and so scared of it!

Uncle Brennan trying to get him to touch it. He wouldn't until a little girl came over to see it and wanted to touch it. Peer pressure always works!

I love how Mason is standing as far away from the fish as he can! It was flopping around and Mason was really afraid of it!

Brennan helping Mason not loose his pole!

Flag day parade

Brandi's ward does a big parade for flag day each year. We were able to go attend, and participate! Mason loves parades, so being in one was a dream come true!
