Buda Wiener Dog Festival

The 2009 Wiener Dog Festival was this weekend. Jes took Mason and Tori for two days of dog racing, playing, petting zoos, and eating carnival food! Since it was just Jes, there were only a few pictures he could manage to snap! I was home sick all weekend.

It's a HUGE event and it's so fun to have it right down the street from our house!

TEA Party

Wednesday was April 15th...tax day. Lately, Jes has been getting more and more involved with politics. Fed up with the outrageous spending by our government, Jes felt that he would help represent the frustration of American's by attending a TEA Party on the steps of the Texas Capitol. (T)axed (E)nough (A)lready.
He was even on the local radio station in the morning talking about why he was attending and what his hopes were for the events.
About 5,000 people showed up at the event and they marched down Congress to Town Lake and threw mock tea-boxes in the Lake (which were then scooped up as to not litter!).
Jes had a good time and he said it was quite exciting and fun!
Next time he's taking Mason he says!
The next day he attended ANOTHER political event where he met the Texas Chairman of an Taxpayer Advocacy Group and the Texas Chair of the Libertarian Party.

Blue Bonnet of Texas

The wild flowers that grow here in the spring are so beautiful!
The best picture of Victoria is this one, she is eating the flowers. She will eat anything... except veggies.

Mason's Easter

Looking for eggs. We had to hide them about 50 times so he could keep re-finding them.

Looking for the Easter Baskets

THERE THEY ARE!!!
Mason thought that was hilarious that they were in the oven! He couldn't wait to tell Grandma Vickie about it!

Victoria's Easter

Victoria's first Easter was a lot of fun! The Easter Bunny brought her a doll house and a farm! She loves them both, but the farm is her favorite!

Dying Eggs

We decided Mason was old enough to dye Easter eggs this year for the first time. He thought it was the best thing since sliced bread!!! After we got them all done it was all he could do to wait until they dried. I had some stickers and crayons to decorate them with. Well, we never got the chance. While I was in the other room he smashed them all!

He was being so careful... until he smashed them!

Green's come to visit!

My sister Brandi and her family came to visit us and check out Texas! They were here for a week, but believe it or not, the only pictures we took were when we went to the swimming pool! We went to Sea World, Wonder World (it's a cave), and saw the bats at Congress Bridge, just to name a few! It was really fun to have them all come down!

Kody and Tori, look at those rolls!!!
Kody, Colton and Morgan were so good with the kids! They
were a big help! I wish I could have kept one of them!

That's what he said...

Yesterday we were outside playing and Mason and my niece Morgan were putting on plays for us. Mason came "on stage" with a watering can and said he was "the grower guy". We asked him what he was growing and he said "vegetables!". We said "what kind?" He said "fruit!" again we asked what kind and he said "I'm growing a fruit cup!" I guess I should have more fresh fruit in my house!!! He thinks fruit comes from a cup!
