Wednesday was April 15th...tax day. Lately, Jes has been getting more and more involved with politics. Fed up with the outrageous spending by our government, Jes felt that he would help represent the frustration of American's by attending a TEA Party on the steps of the Texas Capitol. (T)axed (E)nough (A)lready.
He was even on the local radio station in the morning talking about why he was attending and what his hopes were for the events.
About 5,000 people showed up at the event and they marched down Congress to Town Lake and threw mock tea-boxes in the Lake (which were then scooped up as to not litter!).
Jes had a good time and he said it was quite exciting and fun!
Next time he's taking Mason he says!
The next day he attended ANOTHER political event where he met the Texas Chairman of an Taxpayer Advocacy Group and the Texas Chair of the Libertarian Party.
March down Congress.

I'm so excited that you went to this! I'm jealous, I wanted to go too, but in the end I decided I should take the kids to all of their sports and Scouts events that day/evening. Good for you for getting involved and supporting something that could be so beneficial! :-) Thanks for representing the rest of us.
