lost tooth

Mason has had a loose tooth for about 3 weeks. I started to wonder if it would ever come out because he wouldn't let anyone touch it and he didn't want to wiggle it, afraid it would hurt. It had actually gotten less loose over the passing days, which I didn't know was possible. I tried to talk him into letting me tie string to it and then to the doorknob and slam the door, but he said no. I tried to get him to let me use pliers (like my Dad did to me) but he said no to that too. So, we just waited... and waited... and...
waited.
As we were eating breakfast this morning he said "Mom, I think I just felt my hole". I wasn't really sure what he was talking about until he pulled down his lip. His tooth was gone! He had swallowed it! He was excited it fell out but was nervous that he may die from eating a tooth. He also had to confirm with Dad via phone call that the tooth fairy would still leave him money under his pillow.

I'm glad you didn't tell him the truth--that he would have to get an MRI to get the tooth out because the stomach acid wouldn't be able to break it down! j/k I totally made that up to sound smart! He was so proud when he showed me today!! Too cute!
