Capitol 10K

Sunday morning Jes ran in the Capitol 10k (6.2 miles). He finished in just over 50 minutes! The Capitol 10k is the 5th largest 10k in the US and the largest in Texas. There were over 18,000 participants! The race started on Congress bridge, went North around the Capitol, and down 15th street to past Mopac. Then it turned back and came along Ceasar Chavez and ended at Auditorium Shores. There were bands along the way as well as people with signs, donuts, water, etc!
Many people dressed up as Armadillo's, balloon men, super heros, etc...

Before the race. The temperature was in the 40's so it took a mile or so to get warm.
